Lean Manufacturing operations have always been rooted in our consulting DNA since the years '93-'94, when we designed and run the first Kanban lines in Italy, in two areas:
with strong reductions in inventory of raw materials, WIP and finished products, industrial areas and warehouses, manufacturing lead times, non-compliance, etc..
Since then we have carried out countless projects in various areas: car headlights, luxury cars drive line, small packages for medicines and luxury, motorcycles, etc..
Such projects made it often possible to achieve very strong production increases in a single plant, thus avoiding the need of resorting to external sources; in other instances, the gain in production allowed to free up a whole plant by transferring its activities to a single manufacturing site.
